Cleaning colanders
Monday, October 01, 2007

One dish i really dislike cleaning is my colander. No matter how much scrubbing i do, it seems like the food just finds all sorts of nooks and crannies to hide in. I discovered if i spray the inside and outside of it with non-stick cooking spray before putting food into it, that it rinses clean as a whistle.

this may not sound much like a frugal idea but it saves on dish liquid, hot water and most important ... my time!

Greetings to all
Monday, October 01, 2007

I just started my blog tonite so there isn't much here so far, but please be patient with me, while I get it up & running. I love learning frugal tips and also have a ton to share, so bookmark my page and check back often. I live on a very small farm in middle Georgia. Never a dull moment! : ) I'm vegan and I love God, animals, most people, sunshine, fresh breezes, full moons, cornbread & beans, cucumber sandwiches, sweet tea, peace & quiet, reading anything non-fiction I can get my hands on. Some of my faves are Alan Jackson (singer), David Ragan (Nascar driver), Warner Robins AllStars Little League (World Champs '07) all .... Good ol' Georgia Boys! : )
