Mildew smelling baby clothes that were stored in totes in my basement.

Well I am in the process of getting my son's baby clothes out for the next baby and I thought that they would be fine when i put them away well I was wrong.  They have been stored in our basement in the big plastic totes. I guess they are not air tight totes.

I smelled the mildew right away so I washed a bunch of the stuff in Dreft and yes the smell is still there.  How do I get this smell out, I can't afford to buy all new stuff.  Should I try white vinegar or peroixide?  I could use any suggestions.

Thank you
