Create a $10 Halloween table scape
Monday, September 15, 2008

Hi Raven here. I want to share with you places to go and great thrifty items to buy for Halloween decorating.  With Halloween 47 days away, most thrift stores and dollar stores have stocked their shelves with great Halloween decorations. This year gargoyles and small tombstones seem to be all the rage. All decorations including the tablecloth can be found at the dollar store and the entire table scape is a mere $10.00!

You will need:

1 tablecloth

1 fall leaf garland

2 colored pillar candles

2 mini gargoyles

2 mini tombstones

1 bag spider webbing

1 bag of black plastic spiders

To begin, decorating for Halloween is creating a spooky table scape. Start with a orange, rust or yellow tablecloth. Then place a garland of fall leaves down the center of the table. Next, place 2 pillar candles (orange, black or red) in the center of the table scape. Place the two miniature tombstones on either side of the candles. At both ends of the table scape place the mini gargoyles. Take the spider webbing and pull it apart and place it all over the entire table scape. Make sure that the spider webbing isn't in big globs.  Add the bag of spiders all over the spider webbing. You did it! A great table scape for $10.00. Remember to always ask your family to  join you in this decorating fun.

Please note: if you are planning to light the candles, make sure you place a anti-flame container under the candles. Make sure that the spider webbing is not attached to the candles in any way. Look for more of my thrifty Halloween decoration ideas. Cheers.
