Remember double and triple coupons??

Many years ago, a store in our town offered triple coupon's one day a week. I saved and dug through papers, books and what ever I could find to get coupons of items I like. I amazed the clerk and had over $200.00 worth of groceries for less than $20.00. This was many years ago and that was a lot of groceries then. Now I do not know a local store that even doubles coupons. I still clip coupons on items that I use regularly. I am always checking out the weekly grocery ad for sales and often I will get things cheaper than sale price if I have a coupon. I buy many generic items instead of name brand due to price and most seem to be the same. I load up on the name brand when they have a "good" sale. I will take my daughter shopping and give her money to buy the limit, as well. Sometimes, if the sale is a good one, I will go to the store several times that week and buy the sale item. I am a stock up person but with prices as high as they are now., it is hard to stock up even with items that are "on sale". Who would ever have thought that ten pounds of potatoes would be $7.00. Needless, to say we sure don't eat potatoes like we used to.
