Another site that allows you to reduce travel costs by staying with locals is http://www.istopover.com. I used iStopOver to find World Cup Accommodation for South Africa 2010 which helped a lot as tickets and the flight just put me in greater debt than when I was a student in University!

I love to read your blog. You have to be one of the most interesting people in California. I am from small town SC and your fun and frugal life is very appealling to hear about. Thanks.

My wife was hit by a drunk driver. She in paralyzed from the chest down.
I was out of work for 4 years and our church helped us with everything.
Faith and Christian friends will pull you through hard times.

There was a time when my mom was always cold, ( weather had nothing to do with it) , but after she started taking B vitamins, B 12 especially, she warmed up.

I have one more thought, perhaps you are iron defiecient. When the body doesnt have enough iron,,,,, Try either iron pills or vitamin B's

knifty knitting

I have some of those knifty Knitter looms, and I have managed to do a few items on them, but what gets me is that sometimes after I take pieces off the loom, they are smaller than when I made them. Then its hard to sew things together. If you have any tips for me for the knitting looms, email me?

You are indeed a busy person. I wish I had your energy :)

I read your blog with much interest, and I am glad you are putting your yarn to good use. If you live near a place where they have a home for either Senior Citizens, or the homeless, you should contact them and see what they could use. a lot of Senior Citizens could use lap throws or sweaters. use your imagination.

If I had a trophy for Good Citizenship, I would give it to you. Happy crocheting or knitting.

I too shall try your carpet cleaner foam idea. even though I have a new linoleum, the thought of having to get down on my hands and knees( or sitting on the floor) to clean has kept me from cleaning like I should. I am A Senior Citizen. Its a shame as we get older our joints dont work like they did when we were young.

If you have difficulties, it might help to get legal advice - I have had friends who have had great difficulties...
