weight lost
Saturday, August 01, 2009 | By Reeseewi

All I can say is reduced any fats you eat like cookies and sweets and eat only like one big meal a day. I lost about 15 pounds this summer just by doing this, I also walk the dog everyday outside. I now can say I weigh about 156 now and this winter weighed 175 so it does work.

Cleaning Linoleum
Thursday, July 30, 2009 | By tejasridgerunner

Thank you SO much! I live where the "dust" is fine sand so you can imagine what my floors look like with 13 dogs in and out of the doggie door, and that dimpled linoleum should be outlawed, LOL! You have solved one of my biggest housekeeping problems!

Way To Go!
Wednesday, July 29, 2009 | By Jess

Congrats on your new weight loss journey. I joined Weight Watchers January 2008 and I have lost over 50 pounds so far. I still have another 25 or so to go but these ones are a bit harder to get rid of, especially since I can't afford the WW meetings anymore. They were helpful, especially at first but I'm doing OK on my own.

I heartily agree with no soda. I don't drink any and I avoid all artificial sweeteners. I find that they kick my sugar cravings into high gear. Also whenever I get fast food, I'm extra hungry for a few days so I try to avoid those too, whenever possible. If I need a sweet, I try to eat fruit or naturally sweetened treats, like fruit popsicles.

I find that I am spending a lot less money on food. I love to cook and have been slowly weaning my family off of processed foods, like Kraft Mac and Cheese, etc. It is so easy to eat good in the summer with grilled meats (especially chicken breasts) and summer salads. I try to keep cucumbers or carrots with hummus in the fridge for a quick snack.

One thing that I was very bad about in the past was breakfast. I would never eat it. Now I try to have a slice of toast or a banana first thing in the morning. I think it helps my metabolism stay higher and it certainly helps me not pig out during the day.

Good luck!

E-A-S-Y way to clean linoleum!

Thank you, thank you. You have saved me a lot of grief. My bathroom linoleum floor sounds just like your kitchen and has been a nightmare. I will be taking your advice and cleaning my floor just like you.
All the best to you :)

Using odd socks
Thursday, July 23, 2009 | By suremajic

I have used odd socks to dust. Just slip it onto your hand and ready to move along. I shake it out periodically when done just toss in the laundry, who knows you may find the other one while washing.

have you tried metro pcs for the phone service? i am thinking of getting that and getting rid of my home phone..this service doesnt have contracts so there are no hidden fees..if you decide after a month you dont want it you can shut it off and not worry about contract cancellation fees..
