Monday, February 02, 2009 | By Sugene

Mix together 1/2 cup pineapple juice (you could use orange juice) 3/4 cup water, 1/4 cup brown sugar,3 Tablespoons of vinegar, 2 Tablespoons of soy sauce,2 Tablespoons of cornstarch, 1/2 teaspoon ginger and a clove of garlic- minced. Pour into a pan (skillet) and heat until sauce thickens- around 3 minutes. Add your tofu.

feeling cold
Sunday, February 01, 2009 | By MJR

Hi! Just a suggestion, but why don't you have your thyroid checked? Sometimes
people with hypothyroidism have an increased sensitivity to cold. I often used to feel the cold inside of my bones. Good luck.

All is going well at home. Added another 100 to the account it is a long road but worth all the crunch and sacrifice. "cause no one ever got rich by spending all the coin they made!

menus
Friday, January 30, 2009 | By Glenn'sMom

When I was a younger (was I ever?) working mother I really did plan menus so that I could start my dinner the night before. I know that you don't eat meat or dairy (people really do read blogs!) and I don't know how to cook that way but I quite often put a roast in the crock pot, set it in the fridge, then started it in the morning.

I checked sales flyers, planned my meals. shopped accordingly, and incorporated what I had on hand. I posted my menus on the fridge so that I could get a head start at night by preparing veggies, etc. It was all such a great help.

cold

I do have sympathy for you because I'm in the same boat! My husband says I'm always cold...except when I'm hot! I'm not a tiny person like you (oh yes, you are!) and have ample "meat on my bones" and wrap up so much I can hardly move but I'm still cold. Then I can get so hot I can hardly breath in the summer. I had bilateral mastectomies almost 8 years ago and my husband said now he knows where my thermostat was becasue I wasn't like this before. =(^.^)=
Anyway, you're not alone. There are many of us out there freezing along with you!

This must be a terribly scary place to find yourself! I don't have a single friend I would feel comfortable asking if I could stay for any length of time. You're fortunate that way. I think I'm a bit too grumpy and outspoken and generally not so easy to get along with. Maybe I could learn...
I know it takes quite a bit to get a place to live. First and last months rent, deposits for house, utilities...the list is long.
I wish you the best.
Judi
