A Sheltered Workshop Works

I will share comical antics by those who work at the sheltered workshop for me,(meet Carolyn), boast of the crafts I create with the thrifty finds from our thrift store, & sometimes loose steam at the annoying days that sometimes surface in running the sheltered workshop.

HELP ME REDECORATE MY ROOM!!!

I really enjoy interior design, but I wish to transmit that into my room and reflect it within my personal things. Also, I want my room to look and feel stylish, I want to feel comfortable in it. I want to create a welcoming ambiance for others and for it to be a place where I can not only sleep in, but sit down to study and concentrate or to lay back, relax, have fun and get ready for everyday activities.

In Search of an Angel and/or Hero

I am not one who reaches out to others and ask for help from others. But I can no longer say that due to the fact I am doing just that on behalf of my son Justin. I am a mother of a terminally ill 17 year old young man who is facing an uncertain outcome in life due to two life threatening medical conditions. The first is a very rare disease known as Wegeners Granulomatosis in which there is no cure for and the other is Pre Stage 5 Chronic Renal Failure. Justin was diagnosed with the Wegeners a little over 2 yrs ago and at that point the disease had already started shutting down his kidneys and he did dialysis for a while. His condition has only gotten worse and Sept 4th he goes to get a fistula put in his arm and after it heals will go back on dialysis for the rest of his life or until he can get a kidney. A kidney transplant is uncertain due to the Wegeners, his immune system kills all the bad but also all the good.. In other words, his immune systems attacks his own organs. Until they can get his immune system to stop attacking his organs he cant get a kidney, because the Wegeners would kill it before his body could accept it. So, we dont know what the next day will have in store for Justin. Im reaching out to you athletes/celeberites as a parent to ask (beg if I have to) for your help. I know you all have busy schedules and your own lives to live. But these kids look up to you, idolize you and dream of being like you. I pray that you can find it in your heart and find the time to put a smile on my sons face and give him a memory that he will carry with him forever. Whatever you would or could do for him would be appreciated more than you will ever know. Justin has never been to a basketball or football game and he has never been to a concert. I was a single mother, so he went without the "extras" in life. I know meeting you is way to much to ask, but perhaps you may have an extra ticket laying around or not being used to come see his "idol". Anything to lift his spirits up. I am going to send this to every ball player and recording artist he loves and maybe there will be one of you who will find a place in your heart for Justin. I pray to god you will. Thank you so much for your time and please help me do this for Justin.
