Balancing Thrifty And Fun
This blog will ramble on about raising two boys while working full time as an editor for ThriftyFun. I'm really lucky in so many ways. I have a loving, hardworking husband, a not too heavily mortgaged home, and two healthy and bright boys. But it is still hard, despite my blessings. I thought I'd share my challenges and my techniques (or lack thereof) for staying ahead of the wave of chores, responsibilities and financial problems.

Do It Yourself Remodeling
We've spent the last few years working on my house. First we put in hardwood floors (not Pergo but the process is similar.) Then worked on repainting all of the house, remodeling the master bedroom, and now are in the process of working on the main bathroom. My sons and daughter have helped with this which has made it all possible.

destination: simplicity
I am yearning for a simple life. A life surrounded by things I love, a life where I can be thrifty, because I don't need anything other than the bare necessities.
I am not there yet, obviously. In this blog I will chronicle my steps towards that (now almost utopia-like) destination.
