Thanks for the Comment
Good comment. I didn't mention that I keep my emergency matches (the kind that are dipped in paraffin) in shatter/waterproof plastic. You're right, of course, in earthquake or hurricane country, the glass would be just another thing that would break or get wet. We get tornadoes around here. Guess I'd better work on an emergency kit for the basement! Begonia Candle Jar Saturday, May 22, 2010 | By ljblalock0317 Glass is nice but, I would consider a heavy 'plastic' storage unit instead if you live in a hurricane/tornado/flood zone. While glass does give a prettier image, it may not 'endure' and that would be why I wouldn't store matches in it (unless the matches are for collection purposes only, then, maybe it would be ok). Thanks for sharing tip - very nice way to recycle! water, water, water Friday, May 21, 2010 | By tyngsbaran

Toomuch tie together isn't always good for every couple. Good Luck This is as good as it gets! Wednesday, May 19, 2010 | By tyngsbaran By that I mean all men are on thier BEST behavior before you marry them. It only gets worse after that. Think what your doing....no man is worth all the self doubt and humilation he's putting u and your family through. Turn it over and ask God for help. Best of Luck Hey Beach Guy Tuesday, May 18, 2010 | By begonia I just remembered some things that might be useful to you. A gardener named Ruth Stout (You might find her books interesting.) couldn't keep the coons out of her sweet corn and finally decided to have a cage built around the patch. I also did gardening for a woman who had a wire room with a screen door for her blueberries so the birds wouldn't get them. One of the most recent editions of Countryside or Backwoods Home Mag. (I forget which) also had an article about a person who built what looked like a cold frame with hardware cloth doors on top to keep birds out of his strawberries. Hope I don't need that--my beds are too big and awkwardly shaped. Just a thought--or two or three--in case your netting isn't stout enough to keep out big reptiles. Begonia Enjoyed your Post! Monday, May 17, 2010 | By begonia Very interesting. I don't think I'd have the courage to go camping in your neck of the woods! The closest I've ever come to something that big and carnivorous was when my horse refused to enter a swampy area because she smelled either bear or a big cat. I wisely heeded her warning--we turned and went another way. Begonia Welcome! Saturday, May 15, 2010 | By begonia Welcome Beach Guy! Keep on blogging. begonia Well... The results are... Thursday, May 13, 2010 | By hoptownracer1 I am having mixed results. I am still getting weeks at the edges, so I will have to work on that. I like your idea of using the cardboard and carpet. Thanks for your picture and tips!
