I try to keep my food budget at $40.00 dollars a week. $80.00 would be like a treat for me. Darling Cat Sunday, February 06, 2011 | By begonia What a tender kitty! Bread Bags Sunday, February 06, 2011 | By begonia When I was a kid, we used to wear them over our socks in our boots to keep our feet dry! Freezing Crusts Sunday, February 06, 2011 | By begonia Freeze the crusts after you have prebaked them for 10-12 minutes and they have cooled completely. Wrap each crust tightly in plastic wrap before freezing. You can take them straight from the freezer and add toppings while your oven preheats. By the time your oven has preheated, they are ready to bake. Enjoy! question Saturday, February 05, 2011 | By iris29 Great idea! At what stage do you freeze the crusts? Also, are there any special tips for thawing? savings @ rexall Thursday, February 03, 2011 | By thhr1127

Strawberry Jam Monday, January 31, 2011 | By begonia There are freezer jam recipes that sound like yours, only they contain commercial pectin as well as fruit, sugar, and flavored gelatin. I agree with Iangranny that you should use this batch over pancakes and ice cream. Next time try a freezer jam recipe. (Just a note: these types of recipes don't set up as stiff as cooked jams.)
