That sounds like such a fun tradition! I wish my family got together and did fun things like that, but we're all lame. Moving Tuesday, November 16, 2010 | By begonia
I had a similar experience. I helped a neighbor set up and run her moving sale and later ended up packing her kitchen and cleaning her refrigerator for her. Her husband had gone ahead to start his job and left her to sell or pack and move the remainder of their stuff. By the time she was down to the final packing of the kitchen, she was about done in. She gave me all of the food from her cupboards and from her refrigerator freezer. She was relieved not to have to think about it anymore. I shared some of the food with the neighbors, threw away a portion of it because it was too old or stale to eat,and we ate the rest. It was a real blessing because we were going through a time of low cash flow. It helped free up some money to pay bills. the joy of gardening! Monday, November 08, 2010 | By MzScarlett
I am right with you! However, the great thing about daffodils, is that once finished blooming, and the stems are going "brown"; you can cut the stems off and plant right on top of them with annuals! Thanks for the Tip! Friday, November 05, 2010 | By begonia I never thought about asking the butcher to grind the meat for me. Ground meat does go farther than roasts. Although, I have to admit that I like roasts better! Begonia Good Morning Friday, November 05, 2010 | By begonia I read the blogs every morning. I had a lot of fun going back in the archives, too.
