People can always use mugs & you could put candy or cocoa mix in them - or knit a simple scarf or hat...My hubby loves adventure stories, so I am always looking out for those for him, on - say a bargain table at the bookstore!

I am also a petite - but I usually buy regular length jeans & pants & put up the hem at the bottom. (For jeans you can temporarily put them up with duct tape until you wash them the first time - as after the washing they have a tendency to shrink & get shorter, which would spoil any hemming job by making it too short.) What you are doing is called putting a "false hem" in - making the hem essentially out of another fabric - Once again - good for YOU. Oh - & if you want to keep a dark wash dark as long as you can - DON'T wash them too much (if at all) - you can use Febreze or steam the middle area to freshen it....

You will find a LOT of good advice here which will stand you in good stead now & in the future - Good for YOU.

We just have a patch of an apartment garden - altho we do have roses - But hubby finds great deals in cut flowers on Sunday evenings at the supermarket in the upscale neighborhood where I have a tutoring gig - Just got some $3 tulips!

Sad to say that capitalism has a tendency to shift when times are good towards sheer profit & the hell with everything else. (Note the "Gay" 90's & the robber barons...) It seems to have gone too far again & we are all trying to put the country back on track! Let's hold onto the American ideal as much as we can. At least we have alternatives, unlike, say CHINA - where the health of the populace be damned - Just my 2 cents worth.

Do you have a Mcdonalds in the town or city in which you live? they hire people all the time. Tell them you can only work weekends because of school , and that this is only very temporary, best of luck when the baby comes..let me know how it goes!

we had planned on getting her spayed months ago, before the first litter came along, but then my daughter had wanted to see what real little kittens looked like, so we let her have one litter, they all died, and before we could get her fixed we had to save her life! twice, the vet bill left us drained and we ended up seeing our Queen pregnant again!..this time after the kittens are gone we are getting her fixed..no more litters!

We are getting the warm dry weather here, too. The farmers are harvesting corn and soybeans at a tremendous rate--but the nights are getting cooler and cooler.

I do some of the same stuff during winter. I use the time to research whatever new plant I'm going to grow in the spring or a new gardening method. We have a great library system, so I usually have a stack of movies and books by my chair as well. I crochet and write a lot of letters, too. Begonia

Exploitation which is the targeting and harming for personal profit and personal gain: is the WAY "democracy" WORKS. It is a CRIME.
It is NOT of the people, by the people, FOR the people at all; Because it is a CRIME, yet our "lawmakers" who are mainly attorneys, and our "judges" who have gone right along with it: are criminals. BANKERS and INTELLECTUAL ELITES was the WAY the GOV of the USA stated IT was going to bring about ITS plan for global dominion PRIOR to the END of WW11. Called it the 'new world order".
Democracy means you force the people to pay; and then force them to pay more more more. THIS is the nation that tells other countries to warehouse food, medical supplies, etc; until the people PAY what you SAY! and they supply the weapons and bullies to train other nations in how to do so: and how to mislead, deceive, and over bill the people; while via the media giving false reports, and false pictures which is LITERALLY WHAT "democracy" MEANS.
Had to go clear back to 1850's to find out what it was; and what happened to our forefathers dream. THIS nation is NOT broke; has never been broke; they give $ to the CHINESE whos gov THEY SET UP with the SAME CORPS that they have used in nation after nation; Fascism, and totaltarianism.
Kleptocracy I believe is the name for a nation that is run in a criminal manner like ours: it is literally rule by thieves.
BTW, they named it People's republic of Democratic Dictatorship of China in 1949; it is NOT communist China; nor is it RED China; even though THIS is the terminology USED by the MEDIA to mislead and deceive us the people.

Somehow my summer posts show up when I look at my blog - but not otherwise? I did post during JULY! Perhaps you can find another way to get to those....
